EPCOT, according to Walt Disney, is an acronym for the "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow." There is so much there to see and do that even given several days to try it will be difficult to experience everything. If you only have a single day the best approach is to focus on the sort of attractions that fit your group.

For example, if rides are the favorite thing to do use the Fast Pass method to get on Test Track and Soarin' and be sure your group gets to ride the Maelstrom in the Norway area. The Universe of Energy takes hundreds of people at a time so it is usually possible to experience it without a very long wait. The World of Tomorrow at the entrance to the park will have much shorter lines later in the day so try saving that one for the afternoon or early evening. Just inside the park look for the illuminated status board showing the approximate wait time for some of the more popular attractions.

If visiting the various countries and browsing the shops is more to your group's liking then you can make your way 'around the world' by simply walking along the edge of the lake and experiencing whatever you like. All of the countries are great for places shopping but here are some of the highlights for each country:

  • Mexico - Journey through Time ride
  • Norway - Princess breakfast, Maelstrom ride
  • China - Acrobats, dancers, meet Mouhlan
  • Germany - Outdoor model railroad
  • USA - Live bands
  • Morocco - Meet the Genie, Jasmine & Ali
  • Japan - Various performers
  • France - Pastry shop
  • Great Britain - Live bands, fish & chips at the Rose & Crown Pub
